About us

Construction Estimator

A construction estimator sits at the centre of every contracting business, turning drawings into a defensible proposal. Work with our estimating team by the project or as a dedicated resource on your bids.

The role

What a construction estimator actually does

The estimator builds the complete cost proposal for a project, working alongside owners, architects, designers and contractors. The job is to arrive at the real cost of the work with the scope and size of the project in mind: tally every material, price the labour, and establish how long the build actually takes.

Estimator Expert goes a step further and defines the man-hours for every line item of every trade, so you can see where the money and the labour really sit before you commit to a number.

Our estimators work in Planswift, Bluebeam, Trimble, RS Means, CostWorks, Xactimate, FastPIPE, FastDUCT and Quest Estimating, and follow recognised cost-engineering practice for measurement and pricing.

Our clients

General contracting firms, subcontractors, developers, architects, home builders, owners and vendors delivering both private and public projects.

Sectors

Estimators for every project type

Separate teams handle residential, commercial and civil work, so your bid is measured by someone who prices that scope every week.

Residential cost estimator

From a small home build to a high-rise apartment, our residential team prepares a precise bill of material for new construction and remodelling of single-family, multi-family, modular and custom homes, condominiums and townhouses.

Commercial cost estimator

Office buildings priced per square foot or a full construction-document estimate for a shopping mall, we deliver takeoffs for offices, warehouses, theatres, auditoriums, retail, healthcare and parking structures.

Civil cost estimator

Civil contractors building highways, bridges, dams and utility works get detailed bid estimates and material takeoffs built for bid proposals and procurement.
